Georgina

Georgina Morgan

Georgina was first introduced to yoga in the early 1980's, and since then it has been a major part of her daily life. The benefits that she has experienced through yoga in her own life are enormous. The power of the breath, the stillness of meditation and the beauty in the movement of the body enable her to find balance in her daily life.

After studying herbal medicine, iridology, remedial massage, aromatherapy, and bush and bach flower essences, the missing link was to formalise her training in yoga so she could teach and use all she had learnt in the helping of others. Georgina combines her knowledge and understanding of the body, emotions and healing to personalise practises for her yoga students and clients.

Georgina's focus is on teaching small groups and personal one-on-one classes, personalising them to the individual's needs, - physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually - by using breath, asana, relaxation and meditation. Georgina's specialities are back care in acute and chronic cases, stress management, anxiety and depression, and pregnancy.

Georgina has also undertaken advanced training in pranayama and is a qualified stretch therapist.

Cari Havican

Cari Havican

Cari's passion for yoga started in the late 1980's when she personally discovered the centering and balancing effect that yoga had on her life. She has a background in naturopathy and remedial massage and finds this knowledge of the body complements her yoga teachings.

Cari is drawn towards the teachings of the Krishnamacharya lineage, particularly the concept of viniyoga (adapting the teachings to suit the uniqueness of each individual or group situation, thereby incorporating many different approaches).

She has been teaching yoga since 2000, and loves working with individuals and small group classes in order to personalise the practices in a nurturing and supportive environment. She believes that working with yoga in this way will produce optimum healing results for each of her students. She aims to encourage her students to be aware of their overall health and general well-being by exploring various yogic principles such
as movement, relaxation, meditation and breath awareness. Using yoga as a therapeutic aid to healing, Cari's special interests include: women's health, back care and rehabilitation from physical illness.

Along with teaching at Just Balance, Cari also teaches both private yoga tuition and small group classes in Newcastle - www.anamyoga.com.au.
