About the Just Balance yoga studio
Since opening in 2006 Just Balance has evolved into a community haven supporting the incredibly busy and stressful lives that most of us have. Yoga at Just Balance nurtures you and guides and allows for your movement back into balance — a balance that transcends the physical body.
Each yoga class held is different. Even classes taken by the same teacher are not the same. Who is a member of a particular class can have a big effect on the content and focus within a class. So whether you arrive with a frozen shoulder, have fibromyalgia, are pregnant, being treated for cancer, feel over worked, or grieving the loss of a loved one, you will be cared for.
To facilitate the process and need for holistic care, students often regularly attend the same class or classes, helping to build up a feeling of community within their group and studio. This also facilitates i an unspoken support which you can feel, within a class that means you come even when you may be feeling vulnerable, overwhelmed or fragile. There are postures you can do or can modify to suit. There is a particular breath that will help you. With regular practice the students begin to experience change that they feel confident introducing into their daily lives or at times when they have need. With regular participation the teachers are also better prepared to address any unique requirements that each class member may have, so that the students are supported in the best possible way.

Just Balance offers the following services:
Yoga classes — The Just Balance studio provides a variety of yoga classes, some are classified to support your physical requirements - from very gentle/restorative to strong, Others are specialised classes - teens, mindfulness yoga, yin and yang and kundalini yoga. All the classes include asana, breath awareness and relaxation, yet they are also all different, bringing to you variety and what is required by the class on a particular day, supporting you to find a practice that is just right for you — six day a week.
The classes are held in a nurturing studio located in Pleasant Avenue East Lindfield, at the back of the East Lindfield shops. The studio can be cooled in summer and warmed in winter. The studio and classes have evolved to provide incredible support for its dedicated students.
Stretch therapy — Individualised and effective stretch programs for rehabilitation and to improve sporting pursuits, including back care, neck and shoulder injuries, inflexibility restrictions caused by asymmetrical movement/sports and other problem areas
Massage therapy — Help restore the body back to balance, to reduce pain, improve movement and induce a relaxed feeling. Services include aromatherapy, remedial, deep tissue, trigger point therapy and myofascial release.
Yoga therapy - Therapeutic yoga using the principles of yoga and personalising practices to support the individual. this may include asana ( physical postures), (breath work), relaxation, meditation, life style counselling, dietary and nutrition advice. Yoga Therapy may be for a particular physical, mental or emotion condition or to simply re-balance, to improve physical, mental and emotional wellbeing or to assist
Meditation classes - Classes to help you still the mind and find calm and peace in your daily life. Using proven techniques and different styles, with involves relaxing the mind and body to impart and sense of happiness and contentment.
Australian bush flower consultations — Tapping into the amazing healing properties of Australian Bush Flowers, to help support in times of stress, emotional issues and to see the bigger picture in your life.
Stress management — All the modalities and services available help reduce stress. Individualised care is the key.
Pranayama (breath awareness) therapy — The way we breathe is a direct reflection of how we are. Pranayama gives us the tools to change the way we breathe to create a change in us- physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
Herbal medicine — Drawing on the therapeutic properties of herbs to create wellness and health, bring the body and emotions into balance.
Fascial Fitness — Stretches, movement and techniques to improve the health of your fascia, overall health, strength, flexibilty and elasticity.
